A curled body, a tucked nose, and a tail that completes the frame. Look for the outline rather than assuming how the animal feels.
A TINY MUSEUM OF EXTRAORDINARY NAPS
Every nap is
a masterpiece.
Small paws. Impossible angles. Absolutely no ambition.
Welcome to the quietest collection of accidental art.
Admission is free. Please do not wake the artists.
A small rebellion
against gravity
Medium: a soft landing and four floating paws.
01 / THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
The art of the accidental.
Eight illustrated studies. Countless familiar moments.
Choose a pose, look closer, and collect its stamp.
FOUNDING EXHIBITION · Original digital illustrations, not submitted pet photographs.
The belly faces upward while the paws float apart. The floor becomes a launchpad for a very quiet space mission.
A relaxed silhouette spills across a surface. Record which parts are supported and which are hanging free.
The face disappears into a cushion or rests against a surface. Photograph from a respectful distance without moving the sleeper.
An elongated body draws a line through the room. Include the surrounding space to show the full length of the pose.
The body follows an armrest, chair corner, or cushion seam. Furniture is part of the composition, not just its background.
Paws overlap and the outline becomes difficult to trace. Follow one limb at a time; never untangle the animal for a photograph.
Another animal, a cushion, or a familiar object supports the head. Notice the point of contact and leave both sleepers undisturbed.

Notes from the quiet room.
How to look at a sleeping pose
Begin with the outline. Is the body a circle, a line, or a shape that refuses a name? Notice the direction of the paws and the places where the body touches a surface. Record the date, setting, and anything that makes this moment different from an ordinary nap.
Our eight families are playful curatorial labels, not scientific categories. One photograph can fit more than one family. Choose the detail you want to remember.
The respectful observer’s rule
Do not move paws, arrange a body, or wake an animal for a better picture. Avoid flash and let the sleeper choose its resting place. A natural, imperfect photograph tells a more personal story than a staged pose.
Keep private details outside the frame. Before sharing a postcard elsewhere, check for faces, addresses, location labels, and other details you did not intend to publish.
A photograph is a moment, not a diagnosis
This museum celebrates shapes and stories. It does not infer health, personality, trust, or emotional state from a pose. The Pose DNA bars describe our illustrations using four editorial scores; they are not measurements of a real animal.
A useful personal archive also includes ordinary days. Returning to a familiar setting can reveal how your own collection changes over time, without turning every difference into a conclusion.
VISITOR INFORMATION
A few quiet answers.
Are these real submitted pet photos?
The founding collection is eight original digital illustrations. They are clearly labelled as illustrated studies. We do not invent owners, submissions, or photographic histories.
Can I publicly submit a photograph?
Public submissions are not open yet. The postcard studio works privately in your browser. No account is needed and no photograph is uploaded by this tool.
What does my passport remember?
Only the pose stamp numbers you collect are saved in this browser’s local storage. Your selected photograph and typed name are not saved by the museum. Use Reset my passport to remove the stamps.
Does night mode play sound?
No. This museum is silent, including at night. Night mode changes the lighting palette. The tour can be paused, and reduced-motion preferences are respected.
A tiny museum.
An endless affection.
Sleeping Pose Museum is an independent creative project by Hong Dal Oh, built to make everyday moments worth noticing. The first collection uses original illustrations; future photographic exhibitions will require permission and human review.
Editorial approach: describe what is visible, label invented exhibition names, distinguish illustrations from photographs, and correct errors when found.
